So I'm back to editing while combining some notes for my new book. Even though I skipped on finishing the editing of books 5, 6, and 7 of #ShadowGodsSeries (which I'll get back too), I'm almost finished with the first pass of Book 8, Child of Chaos. What I find hard to believe is that at the conclusion of the series, I've created a chain of events that all make sense, is unpredictable, and closes all the loose ends. In a way, I'm actually mystified that I wrote it all, especially after starting the project as a single book when I was 17 years old and spending the next 20 years working on it before completing it. I'm also amazed I've written 10+ books besides this series of 8.
What I'd really like is to have writing as my job because right now I only do it as a hobby. 18+ books written as a hobby with a dozen more waiting in the wing. I need more time, more energy, more peace and quiet. But for now, I will settle with what I have, a few hours to myself most nights to ponder my thoughts over a computer.
